Just want to get a quick word about our approach to scheduled maintenance for our servers and WordPress sites hosted on them.
We schedule our server’s operating system updates on the 18th of the month at midnight. Server operating system upgrades usually take 30 minutes, cause a bit of slowness and 1-2 minutes of downtime for a reboot. Please put on your calendars that the 18th of the month is server maintenance day at Boston Web Group.
On the 30th of the month, we do updates to WordPress’s core application, plugins, and themes. Of course you can opt-out of managed WordPress software updates. Just contact support@bostonwebgroup.com or call us at 781-321-5159.
